WHO IS THE CUMBERLAND JAZZ SOCIETY?

The Cumberland Jazz Society has been involved in the presentation of jazz in Western Maryland for over twenty years. During the past decade, the organization has increased its efforts towards attracting and supporting the presentation of some of the world’s most renowned performers to the area, including Herbie Hancock, John Patitucci, John Scofield, Dave Weckl, Maynard Ferguson, Dave Valentin, Hilton Ruiz, the Yellowjackets, T.S. Monk, Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Jimmy Heath, Alan Baylock, Denis DiBlasio, Rachael Price, Rumba Club, Navy Commodores, John Fedchock, Three Rivers Jazz Orchestra, David Sanchez, Chris Vadala, Mike Tomaro, Scott Wendholt, the One O’Clock Lab Band, Sean Jones, Ted Nash, among others.
